Silver and Gold

As promised, here are some more pictures of my table at Christmas. This post is about the Salvation Army thrift store spray painted glasses. Eight of them. I wanted silver and gold to be the predominant colors; less of the red, even though it was Christmas. Green is always a color incorporated because it introduces nature.

This is with all the candles lit. I decided on flowers in white and settled on hydrangeas which I picked up the day before.

This was earlier that day, as the table was taking shape.

Later....

I found these little sparkly metallic Christmas trees on sale at Crate and Barrel. They are placecard holders. The added an additional Christmas element.

I asked my kids to make the placecards and they chose to do some in red and some in green. This tied in the festive colors as well as those in the garland I had draped around the chandelier.

I will enjoy using these painted glasses to hold colorful florals throughout the year either collectively or individually, as the need arises.

They certainly helped dress up my dining table at Christmas.

I used Rust-Oleum's American Accents spray paints for this project.
